Hyrox Race-Day Checklist: What to Pack
Hyrox days involve a lot of waiting: registration, warm-up, a start wave that may be hours after you arrive, then the trip home tired and sweaty. A good bag makes all of that easier. Pack the night before using the list below.

Race kit (wear or pack on top)
Lay these out the night before so nothing gets left on the floor at home.
- Race shoes you have already trained in
- Race shorts or tights and top
- Running socks, plus a spare pair
- Thin gloves, if you use them
- Watch, charged
- Hair ties, headband
Before the start
Warm-up areas can be busy and cold, and start waves run to time, so bring layers you can drop at the last minute.
- Warm hoodie or jacket and joggers
- Water bottle
- A familiar pre-race snack or gel β nothing new
- Headphones for the wait
- Booking confirmation and photo ID for registration
After you finish
You will be sweaty and cold fast once you stop. A full change of clothes and something to eat make the journey home far nicer.
- Full change of clothes and dry shoes or slides
- Towel and wipes
- Recovery drink or snack
- Electrolytes if you sweat heavily
- A bag for wet kit
Pick the right bag
A bag with a separate wet or shoe compartment keeps sweaty kit away from your clean clothes. Our race and transition bag guide covers options that work for Hyrox as well as triathlon.
Night-before checks
Check your start time and wave, the venue entry rules and how early registration closes. Charge your watch and phone, and set two alarms. Eat a normal, familiar dinner β race day is not the time to experiment.
